The Journey: How To E-Commerce Supplier Search & Set Up

Achieving Success and Financial Freedom: If you are new to my site, my entire life I have studied and pursued success. After over 40 years I can say I have achieved success in almost every area of my life except for one, financial freedom (for my family and myself). This is my journey to fulfill the last element of success I feel I am missing.

Being Me

So I strike again.  This is the deal, I received 5 envelopes from the bank with a bunch of information after signing up for a cross-border account (so I can receive money in USD) and opening up a US Visa.  Well, I received all this paperwork looked through it quickly and then filed it away. 

A few days later when I went to execute a test order from my Shopify store and process it through to my vetted supplier I needed to use my US Visa.  Well when I went to activate the visa it didn’t work, just my luck.  With all the paperwork I received I also received a letter that my Visa application was rejected.  So the next day I called the bank and inquired about it.  They said, “Sir we sent you both a Visa “Debit” card and a “standard” Visa.  Then it dawned on me, I was trying to use my Visa “debit” card to activate my “standard US Visa LOL. 

So that night I went home, logged into my US bank, and activated the card with no issues. Unfortunately, I only had 2 minutes to do this and could not process the payment to my supplier.  If any of you are single parents out there you know what I am talking about.  It would have literally taken me another 5 minutes to process the payment now that my card was activated but parent duties called.

The next morning I woke up at 4 am and processed the order with no issues.  It was kinda cool, I received a notification that an order was processed from a business owner's side, and from a customer's side I received a notification via email that my order was processed and “click here” to track. Sweet it actually all worked!

So my order is on its way.  I am tracking to see how long an order would take to get to my customers.  Once I get the order I will film myself opening the products and using them.  I want to review each “hot” “hip now” product and give my review and feedback.  My goal is to only keep the products I feel would be of value to my customers in my shop.  

THE PLAN

The plan is to write a blog review on each product and put a verification mark on them to verify they have been reviewed by me, so my customer can have a bit more trust in the product before they purchase.

Now I wait for the products to come and plan for marketing material.  Guess what, I have no idea what I’m doing so this is going to be fun.
